How We Came to Provide This Service

I previously worked for a major Building Society and managed to rise to the lofty heights of being acknowledged as the best adviser in the whole of the country, winning several plaudits and in house awards on the way. But I didn't feel comfortable. Why was this? Well first and foremost we worked in such a way that we were in contact with clients only when they needed to purchase a financial product. Whilst the clients were very happy with the service, once these were set up, we were never in contact with them again to review the performance of the investments recommended.

I felt that I had a responsibility to continue to service the needs of our clients I had dealt with. I also felt that this was a service proposition that most clients would feel comfortable with; however, the Building Society, like the rest of the industry, was not geared up to offer this service.

Don't get me wrong I was very comfortable at the Building Society as I had a generous salary , a company car and a good pension to look forwards to, but I just felt that there was a much fairer and more professional way to provide financial advice.

I felt so strongly about this that in 1997 I decided to leave and immediately set about the task of not only providing quality financial advice but also putting in place the necessary systems to allow me to offer the service of reviewing my clients investments, life insurance needs etc.

This has proved to be an extremely popular service a measure of which is the fact that we now employ 8 staff to provide a full range of financial services for funds exceeding many millions of pounds.
